DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!

"My father ordered parts and you idiots sent them to the wrong address 2xs!!!!! Not once but twice and we had to pay out our pocket to overnight ship them the customer service is awful obviously by the other ratings youve lost so much business from our family and friends all because you dont know how to ship YOUR DAMN PARTS!! This place is awful and I'll be sending you his hotel stay bill too because you've set him back 1.5 weeks "

Warranty

"If u buy their part, don’t worry if it has a warranty because rock auto will not honor it. I bought a complete A/C set, which is required for the compressor warranty. They tell me all parts have to be changed, so they give me a warranty. I told them to look at my order, every thing was there for the warranty, so they just ignore me now. They will never get my business, and if they keep losing customers, they will be out of business "

Worst customer service ever

"I shop online all the time and this is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. You cannot talk to a person ever, you can only email. They have been holding my refund hostage for over a week when they say on their website it will be issued within three days. Have been emailing back and forth for three days still no resolution or refund. Will never purchase from this company again and if you’re smart you won’t either. Use a company that has live people to handle a complaint. "

I ordered a high pressure power steering line, and instead they send me a gAS CAP

"I got my package and I ordered a power steering line fpor a 2002 buick century party number 371050. amd on the e-,ailed order form stated the same, Imnead they sent me a gas cap, n phone number for human contact anymore. Only e-mail. They claim it was a online glitch and that I actually ordered a gas cap. I have a copy of the online orderwhich clearly states power steering line. I did some checking and found rock posted the wrong prices for the power steering hose, and they raised the price from $10.23 to $25.80. so their mistake and they even claimed the refunded my moner for the poart, shipping and taxes. Why not do the right thing that 99.9% of the business's do and honor order and ship it. I file BBB. FTC, and file complaints thru Ohio's AG office along with the CFPB. what Rock did is wrong. and I have a email list of them trying to lie and spin tier mistake. I don't need nor did I order a gas cap. Very Very poor and dishonest customer service."

Bad service, wrong parts, refund refused, dangerous situation!

"I purchased a pair of rotors and disc brake pads from Rockauto.com. I had my mechanic install the a couple weeks later. After a couple weeks the brakes started squeeling and producing a huge amount of brake dust, even though the pads are "supposed" to be ceramic. I returned to my mechanic to try to figure out why. He told me I was sent the wrong rotors, the opening around the lug nut studs are too large, the rotor can be turned approx. 1/4" making them grab and make loud noises when I stop. I was told that this could cause the rotors to sheer off the lug nut studs and I could have a bad wreck due to this. I tried to call the customer service #, left a message as instructed ON THE VOICE MAIL SYSTEM. Soon after I got a emailed reply stating that there isn't anyone to speak with, and I must file a return on their website. When I did, they replied telling me they offer no exchange or refund, even though they sold me the wrong parts. After I corrected them on that, there next reply was a LIST of things they wanted me to send, most of which are impossible to do, and if I cannot send them EVERYTHING ON THEIR LIST, they couldn't do anything. They wanted the #'s off THE ORIGINAL ROTORS, which were gone a long time ago, { do you save your "old parts"}??? They also wanted PICTURES showing the difference, {even though it would be impossible to see the size difference without measuring them} knowing the old parts are gone. I was told they would get back with me after doing an "investigation" but they cannot complete it unless I do EVERYTHING ON THEIR LIST.i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE SCAM ARTISTS TO ANYONE!"

Don’t waste your time.

" Paid for the parts. They were delivered someplace else. when I requested a refund they told me to file a false police report saying they were stolen and wanted me to file a claim through my insurance company. Took me to call the Better Business Bureau to get my money back and I still haven’t gotten it a month later. Then someone used my credit card to order $100 worth of Moe’s and there the only ones i used this card for seeing it is a new card. Sad really this business has a reason you can’t speak to anyone directly. They are a scam! Yes they have parts but if u only get half of what you order and don’t get a return and you have fraudulent charges on your credit card. I will never order from these people again. Worst customer service anywhere. Burger king has better customer service if it was run by a bunch of potato heads. Worst yet they gave me three separate refunds and still not what I paid. So no full refund to date. We are a month later at this point. "

Great Prices and Fast shipping

"I have ordered several times from Rock Auto and have had no complaints. It's simple people. Cross reference the parts you have found kn Rock Auto with other part suppliers online. Do your due diligence! If the part you find on Rock Auto can't be cross referenced with another part in the part suppliers world, don't buy it! If I can't compare, I walk away from that sight. I need to be confident with my research and selection. Yes, I have bought from other auto parts suppliers online. Some other companies can be very competitive. Sometimes it's a time crunch and I need it now without the shipping costs. It's about what works for you. Be a smart shopper and use your resources. Don't just go for the first good thing your hear or see because it will probably disappoint you. Everybody should know you should keep your receipts and shipping containers till you have completed your findings on the part you order or buy anywhere. True, things due happen. We are people and make mistakes but learn from them. Do better. "

Bad quality product and customer service

"I purchased a windshield washer pump and two set of spark plugs from them. The washer pump was way cheaper then any other place... BUT.... it died after just two trials.. The spark plugs were good BUT the price was comparable to other places... Conclusion.. When things look to good to be true... They are...I think Rockauto should not be as aggressive on their prices trying to beat anyone around as they end sacrificing the quality of the parts they sell not talking about the total absence of customer care and phone contact.. Please Rockauto only sell brand new proven parts and not what looks like "brand new defective parts" probably rejected by manufacture and relabeled as a "wholesaler closeout" item with a very short 30 days warranty, the pump I got was sold at 8.03$ and the exact same one with regular 2 years manufacture warranty for 31.04$! Both sold by Rockauto... Please don't tell me both are exactly the same when my cheap one died just after two trials... Again I insist, I am even OK that a company could sell defective damaged part etc... But PLEASE, don't refer those parts as "brand new" as it would imply same quality as the exact other one that you sell with full manufacture warranty.. Your very limited 30 days policy means very probably that something might be very wrong with your "wholesaler closeout" items, sadly I learnt it the hard way..."

"my last order was on 08/6 I rcvd the part , fm Arizona to the Netherlands 08/8 noon time. which is unbelievably fast. tks FedEx. for a very good price, better than anybody.only one thing: never try guarantee with them. but that is always bad in the States. and them have a great site.with everything for my 3 USA cars. cheap - good - fast"

"Rockauto may have the parts, but they do not accept returns. And they dont lable the part to make sure it fits or not for the consumer to actually read. Do not buy from them. You’d be better off going to the junk yard. If you buy from them there is a 1/3 chance they will steal from you. "

Parts missing

"Finally got bumper on 3rd attempt ,it arrived after hours so I couldn't check it ,when I did it had one broken bracket and one totally missing I did the whole pic. Taking and the whole hoop jumping you now ( the doing someone's job for them ) then they tell me via email that my ticket has been closed whatever the hell that means , so I guess I'm stuck with it, and blamed it of course on the shipper,,I suppose they needed that bracket of that bumper"
