"I needed a mower deck and Partstree.com had it in stock - according to their website. Two days later I received an email stating they did not have the mower deck in stock and it exceeded the size and weight requirements for shipping. They told me that for an additional $195 they could get me the part I needed. That is not a solution - that is a bait and switch. They know exactly how much it costs to ship every item in their warehouse. They also know every item in their warehouse. This is a dishonest company - they should have offered a reasonable solution rather than tack on an extra $195 and delay my order by at least 7 days. This company is trash. Buy from someone else. "

Our website contains repair information for over 100,000 lawn equipment models, dating back to the 1960's, as such we are not able to keep all parts for all models in-stock in our warehouse. To offer customers as much freedom as possible, we allow orders for parts that we do not have in-stock yet, so that we can make our best effort to locate those parts for the customer (some of which we might have never sold before, so we don't know their size or weight). It sounds like this is what happened in your case, and we were able to locate the deck for you to purchase. Since a mower deck is very heavy and has to be shipped via a Freight carrier, we reached out to you about an additional shipping charge beyond the $7.95 shipping we usually charge for packages under 20lbs that ship by standard services (like USPS, FedEx, or UPS).
